Hello Paul
I have been searching for some sort of apprenticeship for an established wedding DJ business, I have many years of live-audio experience working with pa systems, boards, and mics. Also I believe I have the outgoing personality for the job.
I recently graduated with a bachelors degree from The University of the Arts for a music composition major & audio engineering minor.
related experience:
-2 years setting up live audio for a Music Teaching servie traveling band 2010-2012 (mics, boards, monitors, PA systems)
-3 years setting up and operating digital audio board for the Caplan Theatre of the University of the Arts for bands, big bands, orchestras, lectures. 2013-2016
-2 year wedding experience as a server during college for weddings, bat mitzvah, and corporate events
I am very interested in being a wedding DJ as my source of income, I am moving into my girlfriends house in Santa Clarita September 1st and I am looking to jump into the wedding DJ business as my main source of income as I begin living in the new area right after graduating college. I watch wedding DJ vlogs in my spare time as I aspire to be one and I have used the same equipment such as the Mackie mix5 Mixer and obviously dynamic mics and I have my own laptop for the gig.
I am a very quick learner and very enthusiastic about this being my source of income as I move in Santa Clarita. I only need an opportunity to be apart of a few events so I can see the process from start to finish and briefly pick the brain of someone who has been established and my best chance is during the busy season.
I hope you could give me this oppertunity to be an apprentice for this company.
